The Masía

Known as Heredad Caseta de la Sal, the estate dates back to 1831. In 1925 it was remodelled by Vicente Pascual Pastor, a renowned architect responsible for some of the most prestigious buildings in Alcoi’s Modernist heritage.

The estate extends over 33,000 square metres at the foot of the Font Roja Natural Park.

The building comprises three floors, including a private chapel, former livestock areas, the Manor House, the Farmworkers’ House and an olive mill.

The name Caseta de la Sal comes from the rock salt once kept on the property for livestock. Shepherds brought their flocks here to lick the salt, which increased their thirst and, consequently, their milk production.
